Welcome to my domain...if you dare...

Welcome to my blog about life as a writer and the craziness it involves with struggles of daily life. Make yourself at home but only if you don't mind a little messiness from time to time. This isn't the Home and Garden blog or Martha Stewart so don't expect cute little crafts with homemade goodies. That's not happening in the world of vamps, weres, and other things that go bump in the night...well...maybe homemade blood cakes topped with 'scream a la cream' sweetness along with the sexy alpha males who serve it up.

Tempting Tuesday...A little Rafe inspired...

Love the cowboys!

Since my wonderful friend and author Jennifer Jakes' debut release of 'Rafe's Redemption' came out, I've been hankering for some cowpoke...uh...I mean cowboy... Enjoy Spanish actor/model, William Levy.  Along with Rafe, I wouldn't mind being stuck in a snow storm or hay stack with him.  What do you think?

Here's the links to Jennifer Jakes' website and blog:

'Rafe's Redemption' is one sultry and emotional read.  You won't be disappointed but be warned it does contain explicit sex scenes; yet the story is more than a casual tumble in the sack.  The turmoil and hardships which the hero and heroine go through are heart wrenching and leave you wanting the characters to weather out all that comes their way.

You can order your copy of 'Rafe's Redemption' through Wild Rose Press or Amazon.  Here's the link to WRP:

While you're waiting for the book to arrive...enjoy a little of William to tie you over. :)

I love the intensity of this photo.

Tempting Tuesday...Me, Tarzan. You, Jane.

It's been a few years since Tarzan aired on the WB network but who can forget model turned actor, Travis Fimmel as one sexy swinger.  I mean swinging from the trees that is... Anyway, he may be sporting a shorter 'hair do' these days but he's still one absolutely fabulous male for any of your viewing pleasures.

Thoughtful Thursday...Hmmmm...Tempting Thoughts?

John F. Kennedy Jr.
Ok, it's been a crazy week so I apologize for not posting my normal 'Tempting Tuesday's' post.  With that being said, today's 'Thoughtful Thursday's' post is a combination of both.  How?  Let's ponder over the issue about the male body.  I mean what's not to admire about a beautiful sculpted physique of the opposite sex?

Ok...I couldn't resist a shirtless Brad.

Still lookin' good and has a big heart.

He's such cutie...and George isn't bad himself.

When GOD created man, HE knew exactly what HE was doing and HE did a fine job indeed over it.  HE knows what women want and need.  Although, the males in our lives may not know it all the time and we may not know half the time but thank goodness, our GOD knows.

Dr. Travis Stork

Over the years, there have been some well defined pieces of male machinery displayed for our viewing pleasure.  But most importantly, there are the males who make a difference in our lives and the world around them.  Whether by their charisma or 'good-ole boy' attitude, they're more than a pretty face and they're not afraid of a little hard work or outside criticism.  They're passionate for their causes, family, and friends.  You gotta love a guy who's not scared of showing his sensitive side.

Here's to all the men who passionately and fiercely love their women and the matters closest to their hearts. Thanks and GOD bless. :)

Thoughtful Thursday...I've Got the Sillies...heehee

Currently, I'm in the internship part of an elementary education teachers' program.  With that being said, I read quite a bit of children's books; although to be quite honest, I don't need an excuse to read any of them because I love reading all kinds of books.  Children books bring out the silly little girl in me and take me back to a time before taxes, bills, and adult headaches.  I especially appreciate children's poetry books because they over exaggerate and over dramatize the every day mundane routines and items.  They take the ordinary and turn it into an extraordinary and priceless moment of "WOWZA!"  One such favorite book of poems for me is 'Where the Sidewalk Ends' by Shel Silverstein.  The author leaves me doubled over with hysteria from reading the silly antics, countless bizarre occurrences while still sharing a simple message of truth.  Here's some examples of Shel Silverstein's poems.

Smart
by:  Shel Silverstein

My dad gave me one dollar bill
'Cause I'm his smartest son,
And I swapped it for two shiny quarters
'Cause two is more than one!

And then I took the quarters
And traded them to Lou
For three dimes-I guess he don't know
That three is more than two!

Just then, along came old blind Bates
And just 'cause he can't see
He gave me four nickels for my three dimes,
And four is more than three!

And I took the nickels to Hiram Coombs
Down at the seed-feed store,
And the fool gave me five pennies for them,
And five is more than four!

And then I went and showed my dad,
And he got red in the cheeks
And closed his eyes and shook his head-
Too proud of me to speak!

My Rules
by: Shel Silverstein

If you want to marry me, here's what you'll have to do:
You must learn how to make a perfect chicken-dumpling stew.
And you must sew my holey socks.
And soothe my troubled mind.
And develop the knack for scratching my back,
And keep my shoes spotlessly shined.
And while I rest you must rake up the leaves,
And when it is hailing and snowing
You must shovel the walk...and be still when I talk,
And-hey-where are you going?

Listen To The MUSTN'TS
by:  Shel Silverstein

Listen to the MUSTN'TS, child,
Listen to the DON'TS
Listen to the SHOULDN'TS
The IMPOSSIBLES, the WON'TS
Listen to the NEVER HAVES
Then listen close to me-
Anything can happen, child,
ANYTHING can be.
